Josephine gregorio new york

Josephine, the director, was a compassionate and professional lady who exemplifies the definition of funeral director. She does her industry proud, not to mention the 3 generations that proceeded her. I don't know what I would have done without Josephine Dimiceli, this funeral director is a consumate professional. She attended to every detail personally and assisted us greatly since we never had to go through anything like this in the past. I hope you never experience a death in your family, but if you do I would like to briefly state, that this funeral home handled both my parents who died within 6 months of one another.

Every detail was handled impeccably, Josephine the director was one of the most caring and concerned human beings I've ever met. It was hard to lose both of my parents, but knowing that Josephine was there to tend to every little detail and take care of any problem that cropped up along the way eased my burden more than she'll ever know. I would recommend this funeral home to. At a time when I was at my lowest, these wonderful people supported me and provided my Mother with a beautiful "celebration" of her life.

I was lost, Josephine helped me every step of the way from claiming the insurance, to putting up the head stone, to settling the estate to closing up my Mom's apartment. These people really know what they are doing!!! These are the people you want to engage if you have suffered a loss. They were kind, compassionate and treated me and my family with the utmost respect. The funeral service was like no other I had ever witnessed so tasteful and dignified.

Josephine, the director, made this a true celebration of life and we thank her for everything. I found her to be very responsive whenever I called her She was on top of all the details.

I didn't have to worry about anything. She handled everything with care. The day of my mother's funeral, I felt like I could concentrate on what I was feeling because she had everything in hand. I felt that she was personally involved for our family every step of the way. Josephine was cost-conscious for our family My family and the Dimiceli family go back a very long way, and whenever we have needed them, they have been there for us with respect, compassion, and amazing service.

What makes this funeral home very special is even if the families were not connected, I know that we would have gotten the same sterling treatment. That is how Dimiceli and Sons does business. Josephine, the current funeral director, made a very trying time incredibly easy for us. She instinctively knew what we needed This is not your average funeral home.

The special care before, during and after the services is so exceptional the people who attend always comment on how well and personal it ran and ask for the name and business card. I have and I will recommend them to all who unfortunately need their services. About a little over a year ago my grandfather had passed. It was a very traumatic time for me and my family. Josephine from Dimiceli and Sons did an amazing job in helping my family through this unfortunate mess. They showed great respect, response and sympathy for me and my family and took care of our every need without a problem.

I highly recommend them. Helping You Plan Are you looking to add a personal touch to your loved one's funeral service? I asked for advice between two items that looked interesting, and Howie directed me to a third, Pasta Gregorio.

A nest of Cellantani corkscrew pasta in a deep red sauce supports a large veal cutlet, pounded thin and lightly breaded and fried. A mozzarella and Parmesan meld, lightly browned and bubbling hot, tops off the dish. This may be the ultimate mouth-feel, with cheesy goodness giving way to crisp breading and tender veal, the acidity of the tomato sauce balancing the richness. The Pasta Gregorio did not let me down. The ravioli, lovely pillows of herbs and Ricotta Inpastata, a smoother variety of Ricotta, in silken pasta envelopes, are layered among meatballs, sausage and slices of mozzarella.

They are caressed with a meat sauce then baked to a bronze perfection. Each bite of this well-structured dish gives you a little of each component. Providing a fun visual, the mozzarella gives itself up in long, sinuous strands as you raise your fork.

Josephine and Cosimo Caggese had been quite industrious in upstate New York. Juggling a pizzeria, a beauty salon, a bridal shoe service and two fish markets, plus the harsh winters had them looking for something different.

Never underachievers, the family was soon ready to further expand, this time into refined Sicilian home cooking. Outer Banks visitors and locals alike have been happy they did.

The breads, pastas, sausages are all created in-house on a daily basis. The freshness of the ingredients is evident, as is the passion in their preparation. Growing up in a Sicilian family in Philadelphia, Josephine and her two sisters spent their summers in Sicily. She and Cosimo continue to return to Italy and Sicily on an annual basis, maintaining a close connection to family still there. They do not accept reservations, but conveniently there are tables inside and out for waiting, as well as seats at the bar.

They will close for a while, as many restaurants do at the beginning of the year, but will be open again for Valentines Day.
